My Story
Through DFN Connected Growth Coaching, I help parents of neurodiverse children and children with disabilities find balance, rediscover themselves, and feel empowered again in both parenting and life.
Parenting a child with unique and special needs is both beautiful and challenging. I know how easy it is to lose sight of you in the process. My goal at DFN Connected Growth Coaching is to help you feel supported, grounded, and reconnected, so you can thrive not only as a parent, but as the incredible person you are. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we’ll find your balance, your confidence, and your growth.
Hi there, I’m Deena Fierstein Nathan, a mom of two from the north shore suburbs of Chicago. As a parent today, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance family life while still finding time and space for yourself.
When my son was diagnosed with Autism, that balance was tested in a whole new way. Suddenly, I was navigating new roles — an advocate, caretaker, scheduler, therapist, and emotional anchor — all while trying not to lose sight of who I was. That experience brought both challenges and incredible growth, teaching me more about strength, patience, and self-discovery than I ever imagined.
After finding my own grounding through therapy, coaching, and community, I realized just how transformative it can be to have someone in your corner. You grow when someone can listen without judgment, help you find clarity, and remind you that you’re not alone. I became a life coach because I wanted to be that coach for other parents walking similar paths.
As a Certified Professional Life Coach, I’m trained to help you clarify goals, overcome blocks, and create real change.
